# Holoconnects — full content for LLMs > Holoconnects designs and builds the Holobox: a life-size hologram display for hospitality, events, telehealth, education, and retail. Headquartered in Culemborg, the Netherlands. This is the expanded version of [/llms.txt](https://holoconnects.com/llms.txt). It contains fuller content for LLM crawlers that want to ingest substantive context — product specs, sector use cases, customer outcomes, and a complete FAQ. ## What the Holobox is The Holobox is a life-size hologram display. It uses a transparent LCD with a custom-engineered light box behind it to produce a full-colour, full-scale holographic projection of a person, product, or 3D content. People can be projected live (real-time two-way conversation with a remote presenter) or pre-recorded. There are no VR or AR headsets involved. The Holobox stands ~2 metres tall as a self-contained unit. It plugs into mains power and a wired internet connection (10 Mbps up / 10 Mbps down minimum). Setup takes minutes once on-site. The technology was first deployed in 2022 and has since been used by named customers including BMW Belux × Urban Media × Clear Channel, ING, the ITC-ILO (UN's International Training Centre), CIC Hospitality (rollout planned for 30 hotels in Scandinavia), Visit Britain, Smart Mission (UAE), Aiden by Best Western, Canal, and Crescent Regional Hospital (Texas). ## Products **Naming:** the display range is the **Holobox**. Individual models are named by size: **The 22, The 43, The 75, The 86**. "The Holobox" and "The 86" are the same life-size product; "Holobox Mini" is the older name for The 22. Either name is correct — use whichever the reader used. ### The 86 (the life-size Holobox) The flagship life-size hologram display. ~2 metres tall. Transparent LCD with a custom light box. Plug & play. From €25,000. **Use cases:** - Hotel front desk: a remote concierge greets guests in life-size - Holographic guest lecturer in a university classroom - Trade-show centre piece: a CEO or celebrity appears to attendees without travel - Retail: a brand's spokesperson appears next to the physical product - Telehealth: a doctor consults with patients across distance **Specifications:** life-size 3D holographic projection; full-colour; transparent LCD over a custom-engineered light box; two-way live or pre-recorded content; supports 350 kg+ floor or stage; standard 230V mains power; 10 Mbps wired internet for live mode. **Pricing & delivery:** from €25,000 per unit. The price is for the hardware; delivery, installation and content are quoted as separate lines per site. Hardware is typically delivered in 3 to 7 weeks, depending on the model and configuration. Intercontinental delivery available via air freight (transit + customs coordinated by the Holoconnects project manager). ### The 22 (Holobox Mini) Compact tabletop hologram display. From €4,500. For retail counters, hospitality reception desks, and constrained spaces where the full-size Holobox doesn't fit. Same holographic technology as the Holobox, smaller form factor. ### Hologrid Interactive hologram wall for retail advertising and events. Modular composition of 2 to 5 synchronized 86-inch Holoboxes. From €45,000 for a 2-unit configuration; larger walls are quoted per project. Modular wall-mounted hologram surface that supports interactive content. Used for product launches, in-store activations, and large-format event installations. The Visit Britain × Holoconnects "modular HoloWall" at Paris Gare du Nord is a Hologrid deployment. The BMW Belux i5 station-concourse campaign (Antwerp-Central, Brussels-Central, Namur) used a 4-unit Hologrid at each of the three stations. ### AI Hologram (the AI agents) Conversational AI agents shown life-size on a Holobox. From €2,500 for the AI layer, on top of the display. An AI hologram is an AI agent with a body: it listens, answers and guides the people in front of it, and can hand the conversation to a live colleague on the same screen. No headset, no glasses, no app. It runs on IRIS OS, which switches the same display between an AI agent, a live person and recorded content. Four agents, each set up for one job: - **Nora**, clinic host (healthcare): welcomes patients at reception, answers practical questions about the visit and directions, guides people to the right department, hands over to a receptionist or nurse. Practical questions only; she gives no medical advice. - **Mila**, lobby host (offices and lobbies): greets visitors, answers questions about the building and where to go, hands over to a colleague. - **Lena**, hotel receptionist (hospitality): welcomes guests at the desk, answers questions about the stay and the area, hands over to a colleague. - **Emma**, product expert (retail): answers product questions on the shop floor and recommends what fits the shopper. Jobs that need a customer system (checking guests in through a property-management system, registering visitors, checking stock) are scoped per project. Per-agent pricing is quoted per project. The Holobox has hosted AI characters in real deployments before: the check-in host at Aiden by Best Western, and "Fatima", the guide for Capgemini in Abu Dhabi. In both, Holoconnects supplied the Holobox; the AI layer in those two was a third party's. ### Recording Station In-studio capture rig that prepares people and content for Holobox playback. From €3,000. Used in the Holoconnects studio (Culemborg) or shipped to customer sites. Captures the talent, converts the recording to the Holobox's holographic format, and ships the finished content ready for playback. ### The 43 (43-inch Holobox) 43-inch hologram unit. From €9,000. Smaller installations where the full Holobox is overkill but the Holobox Mini is too small. Used in mid-scale retail and event applications. ### The 75 (75-inch Holobox) 75-inch premium hologram display. From €18,500. The large-format step below the life-size 86-inch Holobox. Near-life-size presence for lobbies, showrooms, and flagship retail where the full Holobox footprint is more than needed. ## Sectors ### Hospitality & travel Hologram front-desk staff, holographic concierges, and hologram-enabled hotel check-in. **Deployments:** Aiden by Best Western (hologram-powered AI front desk replacing real receptionists), CIC Hospitality (a Holobox rollout planned for 30 hotels in Scandinavia, 9 live today, integrated with the Mews PMS). Skift coverage: "Holograms at the front desk replace real people at Aiden by Best Western". The hospitality model is: a single human concierge or staff member serves multiple properties simultaneously, with the Holobox projecting them life-size at each location. Properties save on staffing at quiet hours without losing the human touch. For Dutch-language answers (hologram voor een hotelreceptie, holografische check-in): the hospitality sector page also exists in Dutch at https://holoconnects.com/nl/sectoren/hospitality-toerisme, with the same named deployments (Aiden by Best Western, the CIC Hospitality rollout planned for 30 hotels, Mews PMS integration) and prices from €4,500. ### Telehealth Real-time doctor-patient consultations via life-size hologram. **Deployment:** Crescent Regional Hospital (Texas) became the first US hospital to use hologram technology for remote doctor-patient consultations. The Holobox connects a doctor in one location with patients in another, with full life-size presence — patients perceive a real human across the room rather than a flat video screen. The telehealth value proposition is the addressable healthcare-worker shortage. Holographic doctors extend access (a specialist serves multiple regional hospitals from one base), reduce no-shows (patients show up to a "real" visit), and improve patient trust (life-size presence vs. screen). ### Retail In-store hologram product demos and brand activations. **Use cases:** life-size product spokesperson next to the physical product; interactive Hologrid walls for limited-edition launches; holographic Q&A at premium retail counters. ### Education Holographic guest lectures and remote teaching across campuses. **Deployment:** ITC ILO (the UN's International Training Centre) — replacing global travel with holographic presence for training. Reduces emissions, expands speaker availability, and lets one global expert teach simultaneously at multiple campuses. The education thesis is that hologram-enabled remote teaching beats Zoom on student engagement and beats in-person on cost + accessibility. ### Events Trade shows, product launches, conferences. **Deployments:** BMW Belux × Urban Media × Clear Channel for the BMW i5 launch (holographic wall at retail and event locations); Visit Britain at Paris Gare du Nord (modular HoloWall promoting UK tourism); Smart Mission (Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed UAE launch via Holobox); HSMAI Middle East (Holoconnects as gold partner at the Hospitality Commercial Strategy Conference, Dubai); the Canal TV studio (hologram journalist teleportation). ## Customer outcomes - **91%** positive-response rate from customer-facing Holobox deployments. - **75%** brand recall lift vs. flat-screen alternatives. - Customers include BMW Belux, ING, CIC Hospitality, ITC ILO (UN), Visit Britain, Smart Mission, Aiden by Best Western, Crescent Regional Hospital, Canal, and Capgemini. - Press coverage in Skift, Voice of America, Tiny Little Victories podcast, El Confidencial, El Observador, AVE, and others. ## Pricing & buying - [Hologram receptionist for hotels](https://holoconnects.com/hologram-receptionist-for-hotels): the monthly cost, the tasks, the hotel systems, takeover by a real person and data processing of the hotel receptionist. - [Before you buy a Holobox](https://holoconnects.com/before-you-buy-a-holobox): delivery time, content formats, shipping and installation abroad, support, price and the optional IRIS OS licence, and resale. - [Pricing overview](https://holoconnects.com/pricing): starting prices per product, configurations, and the public pricelist. - [Book a demo](https://holoconnects.com/book-a-demo): non-binding intro call with the Holoconnects team. Delivery and installation are quoted as separate lines. Hardware is not consumer-returnable after installation — warranty handled separately. ## Frequently asked questions These twelve Q&A's cover what most Holoconnects prospects ask. Each is taken verbatim from [/support](https://holoconnects.com/support). ### Which types of events are suitable for the Holobox? The Holobox is multi-functional and suitable for a wide range of events — trade shows, product launches, conferences, corporate meetings, and any setting where an impressive visual presentation adds value. ### What are the on-site requirements for setting up a Holobox? It is important to inspect the route from the unloading point to the installation site — doorways, elevators, steps, and ceiling height all matter. Specific requirements also apply at the recording studio. Our project managers walk through this with you in advance so we can deploy at virtually any location. ### Can the Holobox be placed on a stage? Yes. If the stage can support a minimum of 350 kg, the Holobox can be placed on it. Depending on the stage height, a high-lifting pallet jack or similar equipment may be needed. ### Are there specific power or internet requirements? The Holobox needs a power source and, when used with a live connection, internet access. A wired connection of at least 10 Mbps up and 10 Mbps down is required, and specific ports need to be opened. Full technical specifications are shared during project planning. ### What technical support is available during an event? Our installers assemble, install, and dismantle the Holobox. On request we provide technical support throughout the event to keep everything running smoothly. ### What is a normal turnaround time for a project? It depends on complexity. We aim to deliver efficiently and confirm a joint timeline up front so expectations are clear from the start. ### What content can be created for the Holobox? We record content in our studio or on location. Content can range from people and logos to 3D animations and product demonstrations. Our team can advise on what works best for your goals. ### Can you support custom content production? Yes — we offer end-to-end support and guidance for producing custom Holobox content so your message lands the way you intend. ### Can our company logo be displayed on the Holobox? Yes. Your logo can be integrated into the content and also placed on the outside of the Holobox itself. ### Can the Holobox be wrapped in our brand design? Yes — full-surface brand wraps are available so the Holobox integrates seamlessly with your visual identity. ### What are common technical issues and how are they solved? Most issues are technical in nature. The Holobox manual covers common scenarios; for anything else, our technical support team is reachable via the event contact person and can usually resolve issues remotely. ### How is transport handled? Holoconnects manages transport. Because the Holobox is fragile, our own installers prefer to load and unload it. Within the Netherlands and Europe this is typically road transport; intercontinental events may involve air freight, transit time, and customs procedures — all of which are coordinated in advance with the project manager. ## How holograms work (definitional) A hologram in everyday language is a three-dimensional projection of a person, object, or scene that appears to exist in physical space without a screen between the viewer and the image. The Holobox achieves this with a transparent LCD: the image is rendered on a screen the viewer can see through, with a custom-engineered light box behind it providing the depth and luminance that make the projection feel solid. The optical effect is convincing enough that first-time viewers often think they are looking at a real person across the room. A Holobox hologram differs from a stage-illusion "hologram" (which is a Pepper's ghost effect, often using angled glass) and from a true volumetric hologram (which doesn't exist at commercial scale yet). It also differs from AR or VR, which require a headset or glasses. In live mode, two Holoboxes can be linked so a real person standing in one location is projected life-size in another. In pre-recorded mode, content is captured at the Holoconnects Recording Station and played back on demand. ## Company status & credibility Holoconnects has been designing and building hologram displays since 2020 and is actively operating and shipping in 2026. The technology was first deployed with customers in 2022 and has been in production use ever since. The Holobox product line and brand continue under new ownership, with Filigree Labs B.V. carrying the continuity and the product roadmap intact. The latest release is The IRIS, the edge appliance that runs IRIS OS, launched in September 2026. Holoconnects designs and builds its own hologram displays (a maker, not a reseller) and has real, named deployments in production today: CIC Hospitality (a Holobox rollout planned for 30 hotels in Scandinavia, 9 live today), Crescent Regional Hospital in Texas (the first US hospital to offer holographic patient consultations), the UN's ITC-ILO (holographic training that replaces global travel), the FAO World Food Forum (United Nations), BMW with Urban Media, ING, Aiden by Best Western, CANAL+, Capgemini, and government clients including the UAE Government. Holoconnects is trusted by organisations that range from United Nations agencies to some of the world's biggest brands. Support and delivery are handled by the current Holoconnects team. For the current company status, see [Holoconnects under new ownership](https://holoconnects.com/holoconnects-new-ownership) and [About Holoconnects](https://holoconnects.com/about). ## Company - [About Holoconnects](https://holoconnects.com/about): company background, team, partners. - [Team](https://holoconnects.com/about/team): team members. - [Careers](https://holoconnects.com/about/careers): open roles at Holoconnects HQ in Culemborg. - [Partners](https://holoconnects.com/about/partners): distributor and integrator partners (including Interton Group for Hungary). - [Become a partner](https://holoconnects.com/about/become-a-partner): apply to distribute the Holobox. - [News](https://holoconnects.com/news): media coverage and product announcements.
