Hospitality & Travel · Hologram airport check-in
A holographic airline agent at the check-in counter or gate handles passenger queries, wayfinding, and procedural information at life size scale. One trained agent operating from a single studio covers multiple gates simultaneously, consistent service through peak hours, weekend spikes, and staffing gaps.
The problem
Passenger traffic peaks unpredictably, a delayed flight cascades into hundreds of frustrated travellers arriving at the counter simultaneously; a weekend surge overwhelms weekday staffing models. Every airline knows the pattern: not enough humans in the right place at the right time.
A holographic agent doesn’t solve the physical baggage-handling side, but it does solve the information side. Passengers get consistent, trained, life size agent interaction regardless of counter staffing levels.
How it works
A trained airline agent operates from a central studio (usually connected to the airline’s operations centre for real time flight and gate information). A Holobox at each check-in counter or gate connects to the studio. Passengers approach the Holobox and interact with the life size agent, schedule changes, gate information, procedural questions, wayfinding.
For scenarios where a physical staff member is still required (baggage handling, physical documentation), the holographic agent handles the informational layer and hands off to the on site staff member. The result: fewer humans at the counter, faster service, consistent training.
