Education · Hologram lecture
One lecturer. Many classrooms. Zero travel.
A Holoconnects life size holographic guest speaker delivers the same talk across multiple campuses simultaneously, from a single studio location. Students engage with a life size presence that reads as a person in the room, not a Zoom call on a projector.
The problem
Video conferencing for teaching hits a ceiling.
Zoom, Teams, and their equivalents work for meetings and administrative sessions. For teaching, where student engagement is the outcome, the pattern is well-documented: attention drops, questions decrease, and the “same session, different rooms” effect never quite reads as one shared experience.
A hologram lecturer changes the perceptual dynamic. Students see a life size speaker with real perceived depth, react as if the speaker is present, and engage at rates measurably closer to a live in person lecture.
In production
ITC-ILO Turin, the UN training centre.
The International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization uses the Holobox to deliver multilingual training sessions to participants around the world without flying the trainer. Same trainer, different sessions in different languages, zero air miles. See the case study for the deployment and outcomes.
Configurations
How education deployments typically run.
- Live two way lecture. Speaker at the origin Holobox in their studio; audience at the destination Holobox in the classroom. Real time question-and-answer.
- Pre recorded lecture series. High production content captured at the Recording Station, deployed across campuses. Cost amortises over the lecture series.
- Multi language content. Same speaker, same lecture, captured in each language. Deploys to each region with locally-relevant content packaging.
- Guest lecturer network. A university connects its Holobox to partner institutions’ Holoboxes, giving student cohorts access to guest speakers they otherwise couldn’t bring on site.
