The Holobox at CIC Hospitality: a rollout planned for 30 hotels in Scandinavia

With the rise of hotel self-service, mobile apps and self-service kiosks, guests still prefer authentic human experiences. Hologram technology is finding a home within the hotel industry: planned for 30 hotels in Scandinavia and live in 9 today for check-in, check-out, and guest services, the Holobox by Holoconnects offers a two way, interactive experience that self-service kiosks cannot emulate.

The technology automates tasks and optimizes staff time to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, drive revenue, and enhance service.

How it works

Through a remote sensor, a welcome video is activated as a guest approaches. After the video, guests can select from five buttons, four with pre recorded information and one connecting to a live employee. Employees at headquarters or one of the other hotels are alerted and respond within seconds, digitally present to answer any questions.

The Holobox provides 24/7 convenience with an agent that speaks the local language and English. Interactions are tracked with an NPS score to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.

Results

CIC Hospitality now operates multiple receptions with one recording set, maximising the use of available FTEs across the hotels that run it. The plug and play system requires only electricity and an internet connection, no on site IT setup at each hotel.
