Holoconnects builds a hologram receptionist for hotels: a life size holographic host at your front desk that checks guests in and answers their questions, with a real person on a live connection when a guest needs one.
What does it cost per hotel per month?
The Holoconnects hotel receptionist is a monthly service of EUR 500 to EUR 2,500 per hotel. The fee includes the screen, a service level agreement, the IRIS OS software and the IRIS AVA avatar. Where you land in the range depends on the size of the Holobox, whether a real person is available 24/7, whether there is an AI avatar, and the number of rooms. The amounts are excluding VAT, and VAT is only charged in the Netherlands.
Which tasks does the receptionist handle itself?
The Holoconnects receptionist greets guests, checks them in and out when it is connected to the property management system, answers questions about the hotel, gives directions and covers the hours outside staffed shifts. It greets in several languages and switches per guest. A real person handles exceptions and anything that needs judgement.
Which hotel systems does it work with?
The Holoconnects deployment at Aiden by Best Western runs with Mews as the property management system. For any other system, tell us which one you use and we confirm whether we can connect it.
What happens when the receptionist does not know, or the guest wants a person?
With Holoconnects, a real person can take over at any time. Holoconnects can provide this around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or your own staff can do it. The person takes over from a console that shows the live conversation. Training your own staff takes about one hour.
Where is guest and conversation data stored?
The receptionist runs on the Holoconnects platform: IRIS OS with the IRIS AVA avatar. Guest and conversation data is stored in Europe for now. A different region is possible if it is important to you, so ask us. Hotels can use our language model, provided through the Anthropic API, or connect their own, and the avatar answers from the knowledge the hotel approves. A dedicated GPU is available as a pilot.
What happens when something fails, and what service levels are there?
Holoconnects offers three service levels per location: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Support runs on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 CET for Bronze and Silver, and on seven days from 08:00 to 20:00 CET for Gold. A first response to a software fault takes 8 business hours on Bronze, 4 business hours on Silver and 2 hours on Gold. Remote recovery is targeted for the next business day, the same business day and within 4 hours. The availability target is 98.0 percent per month at every level. Pre-recorded content is stored on the unit and keeps playing during a short internet interruption, and if a live connection drops the unit shows a fallback screen. The optional Hardware Cover ships a replacement unit within 2 to 3 business days. A visit on site is always charged separately.
How long does it take to go live?
With Holoconnects, the time from request to implementation is 2 to 5 weeks.
What does the receptionist say?
The Holoconnects receptionist only says what it has been trained to say, both on a live connection and as an AI avatar.
What are the contract terms?
Holoconnects contracts run for 12, 24 or 36 months. Notice must be given 3 months before the contract ends. There is a pilot. Its scope, and when it counts as a success, are agreed together. Holoconnects remains the owner of the screen and the avatar.
