What’s included in the hardware price
The listed prices are for the hardware unit, transparent LCD, custom-engineered light box, integrated audio, control system, and chassis. Included: quality-tested at the Culemborg facility, warranty, plug and play power connection.
Not included (quoted separately): delivery + installation at your location, content production (studio or on-location capture), on site technical support during events, custom brand wrap on the chassis exterior. See hologram hire for the rental pricing model.
Buy, rent, or lease
There are three ways to put a hologram display in the field, and the right one depends on whether you need it once or continuously.
- Buy. The starting prices in the table above are purchase prices. Best when the display stays in place, a hotel front desk, a permanent retail flagship, a showroom, and you want the lowest cost per year of use.
- Rent (hire). For a single event, launch, press day, or campaign window, renting avoids the capital outlay. Per-event cost is typically 8 to 15 percent of the purchase price plus delivery, installation and pickup, which are listed as separate lines in the rental quote; on site technical support during the event is optional and quoted separately. - Lease / finance. Lease and financing spread the hardware cost over a fixed term instead of a single up-front payment, which suits a multi-unit rollout you want to run off operating budget. Rate and term are quoted per deal against the configuration, ask for a lease quote.
What determines the price
Two identical-looking deployments can land at very different totals. The drivers, in the order they usually move the number:
- Product and size. The single biggest factor, from the EUR 2,500 AI Hologram tier and the EUR 4,500 Holobox Mini up to the EUR 45,000-plus Hologrid wall.
- Number of units. Multi-unit rollouts (like the CIC Hospitality rollout, planned for 30 hotels) get volume-based pricing; a single unit is quoted at list.
- Content production. A single studio recording for playback is the cheap end; multi-angle product capture, a full-length keynote, or a bespoke interactive AI character sit well above it.
- Buy, rent, or lease. The commercial model changes both the headline number and how it lands on your budget.
- The extras. Delivery and installation, on site event support, a custom brand wrap on the chassis, and the support tier you choose.
Content production cost
Content is a separate line from hardware. What you pay for content depends on:
- Talent + studio time. Recording at the Culemborg studio: cheapest per hour. On-location capture with a mobile rig: more expensive per session but eliminates travel for your talent.
- Playback vs live. Pre recorded content is a one-time cost. Live two way telepresence (concierge, remote doctor, guest lecturer) requires a second Holobox at the origin location.
- Custom AI character. An AI Hologram deployment (like the Aiden by Best Western hologram check-in host or Capgemini’s Fatima) adds character-training and integration cost on top of the base AI Hologram tier.
Total cost of ownership, a rough guide
For a single location deployment with pre recorded content, expect hardware + content + delivery + installation to land in the EUR 35,000-70,000 range for a Holobox, EUR 8,000-20,000 for a Holobox Mini, EUR 100,000+ for a Hologrid wall. Multi location rollouts get volume-based pricing.
