From the MrBeast hologram to ABBA's avatar tour, holographic technology is reshaping how live performances, films, and TV connect with audiences.

Holograms are reshaping the entertainment landscape, offering new ways to engage audiences. From live concerts to film productions, hologram technology is changing how we experience and interact with content, and the past two years have moved it firmly from "prototype" to "deployed."
Holograms have made the impossible possible on stage. Holographic performances of legends like Tupac Shakur, ABBA, and Michael Jackson have let fans experience their music in a new, immersive way, long after the original artist can no longer tour.
And it's not just legacy acts. Touring artists can now perform virtually from one location while a hologram appears in concert venues around the world, all at the same time. The Holobox is built for exactly these high quality, life size virtual performances.
Filmmakers are using hologram technology to generate realistic CGI characters and effects that blend with live action, enriching storytelling and creating more immersive viewing experiences.
Television leverages holograms for interactive segments where a hologram of a remote guest, host, or character is present on-set in real time, adding a dimension traditional broadcast couldn't reach.
One of the most visible examples comes from MrBeast, the YouTuber with hundreds of millions of subscribers. In a recent video, MrBeast used a hologram to appear live in a studio in Los Angeles while he was actually underground in New Zealand. The Holobox bridged the distance.
As MrBeast (or rather, his hologram) put it on the episode: "I couldn't make day 50 because I'm currently spending 7 days in a cave." The technology let him be in two places at once, for a global audience of hundreds of millions.
It's a clean illustration of why hologram tech is moving into entertainment at this speed: it solves a real problem (you can't be everywhere) with a visceral, memorable solution (you can, as a hologram). See holograms for events or the Holobox that runs them.
