Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona: Holoconnects featured among the startups bringing game-changing tech to one of the world's largest mobile-and-telecoms shows.

Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is historically focused on phone manufacturers, telecos, and network providers, but for 2024 the showrunners pulled startups front-and-centre via the co-located 4YFN ("4 Years From Now") programme.
Holoconnects was among the featured startups, demonstrating the Holobox to an audience of carrier executives, infrastructure buyers, and the broader tech-press circuit.
5G capacity is one of the constraints holographic communication has been waiting for. As carriers light up dense 5G coverage at MWC's host city, the bandwidth required to stream life size holographic video between locations becomes operationally available, not just lab-feasible.
For attendees, the live demo wasn't a slide; it was a working Holobox with people walking around it, switching languages on the fly, and interacting with a remote presenter who was actually in the Netherlands.
